National cube® week!

by Benh posted May 6, 2009

National Cube Week was a complete success!

As a class, we definitely had a lot of fun this week with all of the cube events. It was a great time to get all of CSUF excited and anxious about the cube's arrival. The promotions team worked really hard to execute fun and creative ways to raise awareness of the Nissan cube...and IT'S WORKING!

I remember the beginning of this semester, I would talk to friends/family/classmates/co-workers about this campaign and no one seemed to know much about the car. Any feedback at all was comparing it to another car. It took a lot of brainstorming as a real agency, dealing with a real client to come up with the best campaign for Nissan.

The campaign that AdHesive has put so much time and effort in is slowly coming to a close. I am honestly really impressed with the progress we've made. At the beginning, very little people knew about the cube, and very little people cared, but now people are coming up to me and telling me how awesome it was to see our commercial for the cube. People have gone from not liking the car to potientially buying one, and from not caring to asking questions. That's pretty awesome!

Scion Comptetior?

by aahren posted May 4, 2009

The Nissan Cube is definitely a different car. At first glance, you can definitely tell that its a Scion competitor. I finally got a chance to sit inside the Cube and it is a very spacious to look so small from the outside. Also the sound system is pretty solid thanks to the Rockford Fosgate system.

I havent had a chance to drive the actual car yet though, But it seems like it would be a pretty smooth ride.

Cantina Lounge

by greg posted April 21, 2009

The big Cantina Lounge night is this Wednesday. Our class already got a sneak peak of how it's going to be, and it looks like it's going to be a blast. We shot our VCAM (Viewer Created Ad Message) there, and it felt like anything but work. This was my first time at the Cantina Lounge and I was really impressed with the place. It was very large, and had flat screen all around it. The bar was nice, and drinks were moderately priced. The speakers were banging and the lights were insane. This Wednesday everyone will finally get to be able to check out the cube, and I know everyone will be impressed. I just hope I can wake up for work on thursday!

WE FINALLY GOT TO SEE THE CUBE.

by Greg posted March 26, 2009

After weeks of waiting, we finally got the see Nissan cube in front of us. The car was green, and definitely stood out in the parking lot. Students actually came up to us to ask what we were doing with the car. The cube seemed to be an all around solid car. The waterdrop ceiling was awesome to say the least, as well as the water drop cup holders. You could see that Nissan really put a lot of thought into the car. The car is really unlike no other and it is even more obvious inside. As a mobile DJ, I could really see myself purchasing one since the fold down back seats make a ton of room to store stuff in the back.

This was only the base model and I thought it was awesome, I can't wait until we get see the Krome model during cube week.

Paint day

by Christina posted March 26, 2009

Oh I believe people wanted me to blog about paint day..

We had a paint day on campus on Saturday, March 14, 2009. As a class we painted 50 ambient cube boxes. It was fun to bond with everyone outside of the class. Knowing me, I am clumsy and I got paint all over me. It was all over my clothes as well as my hair! And keep in mind, I barely have any hair since it's a boy cut. Dante was nice enough to paint me as well. I won the award for the most painted on. Now for the boxes, I was also the first one to mess it up. I painted over the ambient cube® window when Katie specifically told me to not paint the outline of the wrap around window. Basically I wasn't listening and was having too much fun painting myself that I painted it. I also painted the bottom of some of the cubes by accident. But in the end, the day was a success. We had lots of food and drinks out and had a good time besides the aftermath on getting in trouble from school about our mess. We got in trouble that paint was on the floor in the elevator, on the couch on the daily titan and all over the ladies restroom.

The cube is here!!!

by Benh posted March 19, 2009

Well kind of...

On Wednesday, March 11th, 2009, CSUF had its first glance at the Nissan cube. I can honestly say that I wasn't the biggest fan of the Nissan cube when I first heard about it. But, now I can say that pictures don't do it justice. It's funky, fun, and young. It's definitely not afraid to be quirky, and completely out of the ordinary.

I was surprised to see that the interior is actually very spacious and comfy. The back seats fold down to fit anything from a surf board, to moving boxes. The Nissan cube is made to fit into the lives of trend-setters and go-getters. With its refrigerator door, and wrap-around window, the sleek design gives the Nissan cube a unique personality. It's definitely in a league all its own.

THE cube IS COMING

by chuck posted March 12, 2009

So what is there to say? Everyone is trying to compete with Scion these days. As a Scion xB owner, I know the feeling to be in such a small group of people who appreciate value and lifestyle. With the cube, I feel Nissan has hit their stride in trying to target the same age group.

I am excited to know that I have been chosen to drive the cube around campus. Being seen in such an unusual car is what I am really looking forward to. I like to drive cars in general so I had no problem when they volunteered me to do it. It’s funny that they did choose me because I do own a Scion. Maybe that’s why they did...to turn my loyalty to something else. It might just be a coincidence. It’s a new car so I can’t complain. And maybe, just maybe, I’ll buy one.
